"Looking for the Amazon.com customer service phone number? You certainly won't find it on their site. In fact, it only shows up on the page that appears immediately after you place an order."
Amazon customer service numbers:
1.800.201.7575 (Toll free, US and Canada)
1.206.346.2992 or 1.206.266.2992 (Outside US and Canada)
1.877.586.3230 (Canada only)
cabellicious: Where did you find it?
foomanchoo: I went to google and typed in "amazon.com coustomer service phone number". And then all this crap came up about how they don't give it out.
cabellicious: Ha!
cabellicious: Well, it's bastardly.
foomanchoo: Anyway, you should just write it down somewhere just in case you need it again. Tell me about it! That's bullshit.
cabellicious: I'm going to make it a memory in my LJ. :D
foomanchoo: Cool. Stick it to the man! Hahahaha.
foomanchoo: Were they surprised you called?
cabellicious: *snicker* No, they didn't actually ask how I got the number.
foomanchoo: Oh alright. I imagined it to be in this secret government annex with some guy guarding the phone around the clock. Anyway, at this moment the guy is dosing off to sleep and then the phone (similar to the phone in the 60s Batman) starts beeping and the guard is like "MY GOD!!!" etc... hahhaha
Anyway, once I actually got someone on the phone, it was easy as pie. I provided all the necessary identifying info, explained the problem, the guy put me on hold for a minute, came back, asked which item I wanted removed from the order, and presto. Problem solved. It does make me wonder why I couldn't do it from the website, but the important thing is that I don't have to mess with a return... and I have their damn number now. >:D
