One night in Bangkok

Mar 20, 2006 13:23

Ok, so it was 2 nights, and 1.5 days.

Guess what? The ol' sensitive stomach doesn't agree with Bangkok food even though we stuck to seemingly more hygienic food places. Arrived home last night, and proceeded to befriend the porcelain throne 3 times in the middle of the night, and once this morning. Couldn't bring myself to go to work, so...Medicine has kicked in and tummy ain't that painful anymore, thank God.

The trip was a little hectic. Didn't make my man's suit as intended cos his tummy didn't feel well on Saturday, so we dallied around in the hotel room for a bit before heading out to the shops. Bangkok has changed way much since I was last there in 1999. Shopping malls were huge!!! But there's still the nostalgic MBK and Chatuchak. And the smells! Oh man! I don't do too well with the smells.

I'm glad my man enjoyed himself. He takes to grottiness better than I do.I still maintain we should go back to BKK again in the near future, cos he HAS to tour the place, rather than just visit the shopping spots. Lil meiz was just glad to get out of the country and have some fun for a bit.

Didn't buy as much as I would have hoped, and no doubt the household stuff where quite a steal, we felt a bit daunted to carry lamps and vases back, so we didn't get any. Bought some crockery at least though. We really must brush up on our bargaining skills! I hate bargaining! It's just too tiring :p

our view from the hotel room. Miss Puke is incidently a massage palour! hahaha!

random hotel room shots with lil meiz 2 travel companions!

The hotel pool, and me trying to act coy

With a random white dog which sorta reminds me of Clifford although he's red

Oh no, the toilet beckons again!!

PS: It was rather peaceful and we really didn't experience any hostility! Praise God!
