Yup, he is indeed suffering from mid-life crisis.
Dad has been growing younger even as he grows older, and even though it is endearing, it kinda gets rather irritating as well, especially when he shops for himself but stinges (is there such a word?) on his daughters. hmmph.
So, it all started when he turned 50 with his car. He began changing them as frequent as changing underwear (ok, I might be exaggerating). In the past 4 years (yes, he's 54 this year), he has changed his car 4 times, and each time to a much younger looking make and model.
AND, he went to Perth with me to settle meiz into uni right? Guess what? He bought a total of 12 pairs of berms, and it's not the uncle kind can? It's the calf length ones with cargo pockets! He even bought a camouflage pair that's the rage there at the moment. I recall when he was trying on those pants, the salesgirl said to me, "mid-life crisis ay?" What could I do but just nod.
Most recently, he has been into mobile phones. At the end of last year, he got himself
Then, he applied for another line (for personal use) at the beginning of the year. He wanted to get
but thought it too costly, so, 3 weeks ago, he got
And just this tuesday, he got sick of the 6111, gave it to lil meiz and bought himself
Aiyo!! Now do you believe me when I say I have to be mother to 3 kids in the house??? :p
