Kakeru is, in every word a "people person" He has the talent to befriend anyone in a matter of minutes, provided things go well in conversation of course. Kakeru is also very laid-back and cheerful in most situations. Though, when it comes to school or student council work he's rather lazy. In fact, when he's in meetings he's usually sleeping in the background. Though, at times, he does take his vice presidency seriously and gets to work when he absolutely needs to.
Kakeru has been said to have the same antics as Ayame Souma. He has the same charisma, and knows when exactly to press Yuki's buttons. Ironically, Kakeru admires Ayame. He looks up to Ayame and calls him "Commander."
Kakeru is also very interested in cartoons, most in particular: sentai rangers. The first time he met Yuki he told him that he was black. He associates himself with Black mostly because the Black Ranger is usually "cool and stealthy" and if a member is in danger he could make a really cool entrance. Cartoons aside, like most boys Kakeru has a small interest with "adult" things, like adult movies, and erotic things of the sort.
That all set aside, Kakeru has a fascination with giving people nicknames. When he first met Yuki he thought that the boy was pretty effeminate. So most of the nicknames he gives to Yuki are girly. The same thing can be said about Naohito. Naohito is pretty small, but he has a mighty attitude. Anything with "suke" in it mostly means manly. And the Japanese word for small is Chibi, therefore: Chibi-suke. Kakeru also refers to his girlfriend as his dearest Meat☆Angel. Because Komaki has a love for meat. Kakeru has even gone far enough to call the Student Council the "Student Defense Force."
Kakeru is also very overprotective with the ones he loves. When he's with Machi, he tries his hardest to look after her and to be there for her. When he's with Komaki he'll do anything for her. Even if he has to talk down to Tohru Honda. You can tell when he's either talking or thinking about Komaki when he gets that dreamy look on his face.
Despite his happy-go lucky charm, Kakeru can, at times, be serious when he needs to. And when he was in middle school he was very withdrawn and unapproachable. His personality took a complete 180 when he entered high school and withdrew from the family competition.
[Abilities]
Kakeru doesn't come from a family like the Souma's, so he's curse free. Nor does he have special wave powers like Hanajima. And he isn't a yankee either. Kakeru's just Kakeru. He provides comic relief, mostly. Though, he can be serious, and he can provide an insightful outlook on a situation when he needs to. As Yuki stated/observed during their field trip, he has the same outgoing nature that Kyo does.
And hey, if you're in a pinch Kakeru will stand up for you. He did this to Tohru when Komaki lost her father in the car accident.

I'd be the black ranger, duh. But...as for like an actual super ability? Hmm, I dunno. I guess I'd choose that power where you read other peoples minds? I kinda jump the gun at times... So having that would help.

It'd be boring just living by yourself. I'd rather have friends who'd be there to laugh with me than me laughing by myself.

Kakeru wandered around in the forest aimlessly. He had been in the same spot for hours. He still had no idea where or why he was here, but he was starting to rule out the idea of aliens kidnapping him.
"They wouldn't bring me to some empty town if they were gonna roast my innards and eat me for breakfast." Kakeru told himself. They would have already done it by now. Kakeru thought as he walked a little further down the declining path.
As he continued down the path, Kakeru discovered a tiny pond. "Huh? Maybe the Mer-People kidnapped me to marry their daughter, the princess of mer!" Kakeru joked as he gently got down to his knees. He glanced down at the pond and looked at his reflection. He stroked his chin, and winked at it.
"Well it can't be helped! I am a Prince after all." Kakeru paused as he held his hands out dramatically. "But I wonder how Princess Yuki would respond to that. I think he'd be fairly vexed--AND MY MEAT ANGEL! I COULDN'T DO THAT TO HER EITHER!" Kakeru yelled as he flailed his arms about. So, with that Kakeru stood up. "I am sorry land of the Mer-People! But I cannot marry your daughter! My life is on the line! GOOD DAY TO YOU!" Kakeru huffed, and with that he stormed off.
He got a good five or six steps in and paused once more as he came across a wounded frog. "Oh? What's wrong lost your way little guy?" Kakeru asked as he carefully picked the frog up. The frog looked up at him and swiped his tongue at a passing fly. "What? I'm not going to kiss you. What if you turn into a dude! Do you know how creepy that'd be? And you just ate a fly! Grroooss! I don't want to eat bug guts! Or...taste it either." He signed as he racked his free hand through his hair.
"Were you left by your parents?" Kakeru asked as he sat down. He sighed as eh frog continued looking at him. "Ahh, don't worry little guy. I'm sure your parents are looking for you. What'cha gotta do in situations like these is just stay strong kay?" Kakeru paused. "Don't lose hope kay?" Kakeru said calmly as he glanced at the pound. "Do you live over there?" Kakeru asked as he stood up and walked towards the pond.
"Alright now, try to stay out of the way. Don't jump out at any girl frogs and try to assist them kay? None of that till your leg gets better." Kakeru said as he set the frog down.
"Rrriiiibbbiiit."
"Yeah, yeah." Kakeru said as he lightly patted the frog's head. "Still not gonna kiss you, but if you know any girl frogs that need help send them my way 'kay?"
[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?]
I've played Kakeru at other games prior this one, but I guess my timing hasn't been really great when it comes to the applications part? I'd app in and everything would be fine and dandy for a week, and then he'd lose half of his castmates due to various real life reasons. So I guess my reasoning for playing him again would be so that I'd get to play in a cast and not just have him being solo.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?]
The bit about filing an official complaint to the confidential contact post in regards to someone ignoring helpful constructive crit. I like this idea because there are a few players that tend to turn a blind eye on helpful crit.
