Easy Mac & Cheese

1/2 pound macaroni
1 teaspoon butter
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
3 cups grated sharp American cheese (or other cheese of choice)

Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain.

Stir in butter and egg.

Mix mustard & salt with 1 tablespoon hot water and add to milk in medium bowl. Add cheese, reserving enough to sprinkle on top.

Pour macaroni into buttered casserole dish. Add milk and cheese mixture. Sprinkle top with reserved cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees until custard is set and top is crusty. Approx. 45 minutes.

Makes 4 to 6 servings.
