Okay, first of all, I cannot get over how awesome this Japanese Tron dance is. I'm just wow-ed by the choreography and behind all the dance moves. It's too awesome not to share. I've shared it on Facebook, but somehow, I feel that no one ever bothers to read/watch the things I post on Facebook, so I'm posting here, although, hardly anyone ever reads my Livejournal anymore.
Since we're on the topic, I downloaded
Flipboard recently, and I love it! I love that my newsfeeds are now all in one app, and besides my usual Facebook or Twitter feed, I get feeds from interesting websites which are related to the topics I am interested in. I've been reading articles after articles about anything and everything; something I would never have done without this app, because I don't usually spare time looking for interesting articles online.
Because of Flipboard, I've got so much I want to share, but now I'm at a loss of who to share it with, and how do I share it. Of course I don't want to be those typical annoying buggers who posts links after links after links on Facebook. Besides, I'm one of those people who will usually scroll past such posts, so I am able to foresee other people doing the same to my posts.
I guess now, my only outlet is, once again, my dearest, beloved and faithful Livejournal.
The third point I want to talk about, is
The Hunger Games. I came to know about this book back when I worked at Kinokuniya (the book store) and my colleagues introduced me to it. I read it, and I was hooked. It is a Young Adult fiction book, and it's similar to Twilight with regards to the romance which was woven into the storyline. BUT, it's still much better than Twilight because it doesn't advocate blind, sensless, and desperate love.
The movie premiered in the States already, and it's opening in Singapore this Thursday! I can't wait to catch it! Here's one of the songs from the soundtrack. This is done so beautifully.

Media updates aside, I'm finally reaching the end of my second semester. How time flies. I'm still very worried about my video project which is due this Friday, but we only have one session left for editing, and that will be this Wednesday evening. It's frustrating how difficult it is for us to access the computer lab to use the software (Final Cut Pro) and yet we are given such a tight schedule to work on it.
My grades for this semester are a little better than the last, and for that I'm extremely grateful. Somehow, it motivates me to work harder to maintain it, as compared to last semester, during which I was quite discouraged and was sorely tempted to just give up. It's the final lap; I have a 2,500-word critical essay to complete, and another 1,000-word reflection essay for my video project. Both of which I haven't not started yet. Sheesh.
Still, I'm constantly dreaming up plans for the future, after I'm done with this part-time degree. After just half a year of part-time studying, I am already spurred to put my life back in order - live a healthier lifestyle, and cook my own meals; getting back my passion for my hobbies (like Photography and graphic design and scrapbooking), etc.
Oh, and one more thing I need to talk about.
Ever since the PAP took over, my estate seems to be going to the dogs. Apparently, they terminated an entire clan of cockroaches this afternoon, because while on my way home this evening, I saw that our void decks have become a mass grave for the cockroaches. I mean, come on, if you are going to do a task, do it right, and finish it up properly. What is the point of pest control if you are going to leave the dead cockroaches lying around to decompose? It will just attract more pests and then it will be the start the vicious cycle.
It's saddening to see how the estate, once brimming with communal life, falling into this desolate condition, where everyone is closing themselves away and becoming apathetic, because it seems like hope is gone.
