It's been a while, but it's time for another rant. Some of you may have heard about how someone found out how to unlock hidden sex scenes in the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (very fun game, I might add. And I haven't become a serial killer or drug addict yet by playing it!). Hillary Clinton somehow found out, which leads me to

While they're probably going to benefit from this in the long run, the game industry's reputation has been really smeared. Jack Thompson has already tried nailing The Sims 2 for having user-created nude content available for download, which is ridiculous, because it is not part of the original game. Hell- I could modify the Windows startup screen to display some nude chick, and Jack Thompson could try to nail Microsoft for it because of the logic he has been using.
People are using video games as the newest scapegoat this age. Before that, it was music, then movies, then whatever. People seem to always find a scapegoat in any time of history to cover up their insecurities.
In this age, the insecurity is quite obvious: neglectful parenting. Parents complain that they hear their kids bragging about all those hookers he killed, yet not once do they mention the fact that they had a say in the obtaining of this game. I certainly know that my parents had a say in what type of games I get. They know I'm very mature, so they trust me with playing mature rated games. Why aren't parents doing their jobs? If politicians call the content in some mature rated games abusive content to the mind, then the parents are the root abusers. They are the problem. I've been thinking about starting a video game activism group against neglectful parenting. I'd like to start it up, and if anyone's interested, please contact me at d.mart311@gmail.com . I'm sure this group can advocate for anything else that is being blamed on in society.
One last thing. Almost done. I think America is sick, because it's obvious through observation that we tolerate violence more than sick. It just shows how conservative this country really is, and it makes me sick. I think kids are going to get the wrong ideas from these implications. With this attitude, we'll always have hate flowing through people. Why the hell is violence better than sex? I'm guessing that we have been so conditioned by it through war, racism, prejudice, and so on. I think the anti-sex thing has been driven by Christian values immensely. I have a question to ask all of the sick citizens of this country: What's so funny about peace, love and understanding?
I really want to see a value-reform happen sometime soon. It would be for the better of this country.
