Hi! Well, I promised
morbane an update last week. And I *was* in the process of doing a lengthy weight-related update, which may well have satisfied SSar's demands just nicely. However, it was far too angsty, even for me. Plus, I had to get Christmas crafting done and get ready to go to Christchurch. So, instead, I bring you a rather picture heavy, but

Those pictures of Summer in particular are GORGEOUS. And I'm starting to lose track of which parental is which, but do you have a close-up shot of that red scarf/cowl thing from the "parentals model knitting gifts"? It's so pretty!
This is all so festive and lovely, I'm glad you had a great time with your family, and the swimming shot is very 'd'aw' too.

Heh. I've been doing the same, actually. I should be packing and/or cleaning, and I am the master procrastinator. Reading LJ is just that much more enjoyable...

I don't have any massive close-ups of Mum's cowl, but here is a link to the pics on my Ravelry page. Mum loves it- and the colours are so perfect for her. :)

We had a great time! Everyone in my family seems to adore their future Son/Brother-In-Law, so yay. :) And thanks! The water was so delciously warm once you got used to it.

I love all the pics, especially the munchkin photos. The photo of Matt and Baby Summer gave me pangs in both of my ovaries, ha ha.
All the wee ones are gorgeous, but I have to say that I'm quite taken with Freya and that adorable impish expression on her face. She looks like she's be lots of fun to play improv games with :)
Your friend's wedding photos are lovely and you look terrific! I love the fascinator. And I love your beach photo as well. NO, you do not look fat, so don't even say it!
It's so funny that it's summer time when you celebrate Christmas and can go to the beach for a swim, when we're buried in snow and cold weather on this side of the world. We just had the 6th worst storm in New York City history over the weekend, with thunder, lightning, scary wind and HUGE amounts of snow.
I want MOAR updates! MOAR updates!

Haha, yup! He was so lovely with her. :) He loves kids, and I think he's going to be an amazing father. Both of us (especially me, after spending the week with my friend Deb's kids) are desperate to be parents- so here's hoping these meds work and I can actually get pregnant!! *crosses fingers*

Thank you on both counts. :) We had loads of fun in the water- and got a fair bit of exercise jumping with the waves, as it was well choppy in parts. It's certainly been very weird seeing Shani and Alex's photos of snow on you guys' side of the world, with the sun shining outside on our side! Hope you've been keeping warm in that blizzard!

I'll try. ;) Hopefully it won't take too long to get our internets re-connected once we move...

The wedding was beautiful. I am so over the white strapless wedding gown. It's refreshing to see some originality.
What a fun, happy post!

I ran into an American colleague and his wife when I popped out for a bagel today, and they said that it's extremely odd for them to have Christmas in summer. And, it strikes them as odd that New Zealanders still keep a lot of "wintery" traditions- such as having roast dinners, and wearing Santa Hats that are actually meant for cold weather! And yet, it's warm enough outside to go to the beach. Hmmm.

That one was the third wedding I've been to this year, and none of the brides wore a "traditional" wedding gown. One wore a silvery blue gown, with red embroidery, the other wore a royal blue medieval-style dress, and of course Fran had her beige 40s dress. ( ... )

Your friend's wedding sounds great, and the happy couple look very sharp! You look damn gorgeous in your outfit. Fascinators always win.
Your siblings are so adorable. Absolute sweethearts.
That picture of you guys in the sea is just beautiful. I think you should frame it, it's very special. ♥
PS Great work on the weight loss!

Thanks, luv! I love that dress so much. I tried it on, and looked it the mirror and thought, "yeah, I'd do me"! That does not happen often...so I knew I needed to buy it! Will probably wear it to Dad's wedding, too. And, yes, fascinators are love, and I am going to start a collection, ;P Found a really cute top hap fascinator the other day, for only 12 bucks!

Aren't they just?! *huggles them*

Awww, thanks. <3 We love it, too! We've got lots of cute pics of us we need to frame, actually...

Thank you! I've decided that, once I reach my goal weight, I'm buying myself a VoH dress, like yours. Their biggest sizes won't fit my measurements, which I was gutted to find out...so I figure one of their dresses will be the perfect reward. ;)
