So, I've had two encounters with men of the older generation today...both at complete opposite ends of the spectrum. Of course, it's probably going to the more negative one that I remember, the human mind being what it is. But...hey.

The first one happened when I was walking (with miriamus) to a restaurant at the "business" end of town for a friend's 40th ( Read more... )

Thank you, dearest. :) Yes, it was a pretty disgusting situation, but it's not really bothering me all that much, anymore- which is surprising, when you consider that something like this would have completely destroyed my self-confidence in the past. Guess all that therapy really is working! It was, however, a pretty nasty reminder that the world doesn't have a lot of love for overweight people these days. :( Ah, well...

Ah, Hispanic men, they love curvy women. They really need to teach a lot of non-Hispanic men a lesson or two about the beauty of women.

Snaps for Hispanic men! When I was in NYC, I swear I was hit on more than I've ever been in my life- and mainly by Hispanic, African and Eastern European blokes. One Hispanic dude I bought a handbag from (in a little stall in SoHo) even said I looked like the woman from the Mama Mia Broadway poster! Dude, I swear I'm in the wrong country. ;P However, my Matt definitely renews my faith in kiwi blokes every day. :D

Thanks again for your support and encouragement, sweetie. :) I am feeling loads better. My doctor has put me on Vitamin B6, which will (hopefully) make a huge difference to my horrible PMS. And, I'm much happier now that I've found out I've been invited to the ceremony for my friend's wedding- she just couldn't afford to invite all her friends to the reception. Which is a huge relief! :)
