Today was my last day at Bennetts. Yeeep. 18 months I've been there now. I've been feeling queasy all day at the thought of leaving. Although that could have been the gigantic coffee my boss bought me, which I chased with half a bottle of V. So I was happy for a while there. ;P

Ugh, I cannot dress scene at all. I try and it's just disastrous. I just try and dress like me, which is somewhat quirky to begin with, and hopefully that will set me apart. Cause really, dressing scene just makes you look like everyone else, doesn't it? :b

You better believe I'm serious about Glasto! Dude, it's been six years since I've been overseas. Starting to get a little antsy here. And you've given me the perfect incentive to save up and go. ;)

I will need some details from you though- like when would we be going? (I can't believe I've forgotten when your birthday is, that's terrible!) And how much would we expect to pay for Glasto tickets, and how would one go about getting them? And I'll need to check about getting cheap flights over there. You're so lucky you can get such cheap flights over to England from where you are!

Looks like you'll need to get ur hands on sum gumboots and take them with you ... just saw on the news that this year in the rain (which apparently is a common feature of the concert every year) scaplers are selling gumboots for 80pound a pair! Thats $200 NZ for a pair! ... You could always buy these:

How'd the outfit go?

Oh, okay, well the festival is two weeks or so after my birthday. This year it's the weekend of June 22, so it would be around then next year as well. I don't actually know how much the tickets were this year. I know Leeds tickets were about 150 pounds last year. I'm guessing they'd be in the 200 pound range. I didn't look cause I couldn't go this year. They went on sale this year in either March or April, and that's actually the hardest part of all of this. Getting tickets. You have to pre-register all your information and a photo (like a passport-type digital photo) and they give you a number. You use that number to buy your ticket, and I think you get some kind of id with it that you have to bring with you. (They're trying to beat the scalpers.) And as long as you have someone else's registered number, you can buy a ticket for them, too. (There's a limit of 2 per person.) I suppose we can worry about that later

My outfit was awesome! I ended up going for the shirt and tie look (managed to safety my white shirt back together ;p), with my jeans, plus the head-scarf I scrounged from work, plus some hoop earrings. So yeah, gyspy fortune teller, crossed with the corporate Indie lesbian look. I looked hot. ;) Bloody brilliant night, too.

Cheers for all that, hun. Am I allowed to be a total dipshit and ask where exactly we get tickets from if we're not actually from the UK? I'm hoping you can do all this online...

STA travel may be ur best bet for flights ... don't forget taxes too. It's still a while away so chances are (what with the UK being a popular location for NZrs to go to and all) that there will be a special somewhere along the line!

(I want to go overseas again ... beats freezing while studying ... why does the computer room that I'm in have the aircon on slightly?? I mean it's not like it's cold enough outside at negative temps!) :*(

Heh, I saw at the Ware-Whare the other day that they had gumboots with OMG SKULLS ON THEM!!!! Except skulls are so old. But I thought they looked quite cool.

We had a quiz night at work. Got rather sozzled, which I swear was NOT the plan. ;P
