I finally get off my fat white butt and get myself a new flatscreen, and just after me and my flatmate spend FOREVER setting the whole thing up, I discover there's massive problems with the actual computer.
I've also discovered that I need to re-format Marvin the iPod, since all my music was uploaded on a Mac computer, and it needs to be re-done so I can upload on a Windows machine (all our computers in our flat are Windows). BUT that means I will lose all my music in the process, and will need to load every damn thing back on.
I don't even have my own computer. I do all this stuff at the office or at my parents', but honestly I don't want the responsibility of taking care of such an intricate piece of technology. It freaks me out. So I don't download music either, I don't have an iPod or mp3 player, I still play CDs on my walkman. I'm low tech, what can I say?
I'm just wondering what are the best Liz Phair albums to get into? My co-worker brought the album Somebody's Miracle into work and we've been playing it a bit. 'Tis great, but I'm finding it a bit poppy and Shreyl Crow-ish, and from the lyrics you guys post I was expecting something a bit more edgy. ;)
Are their any other albums of hers that you'd recommend for someone starting out?
I'm going for a job as a junior writer/researcher/analyst at the Ministry of Health...which happens to be my Mum's work! Ma reckons I've got a fairly good chance. And the boss has already committed to intreviwing me this time. So...we'll see, I guess.
*hugsback* Soz we didn't get to catch up this time. Where are you off to on the weekend, back to Woodbourne?

You're in Welly at the moment eh? Consider yourself invited to our next flat party! ;P
And you work at Khandallah New World? My Dad lives in K-town, I shall have to pop in when I'm next in the area.

I guess the kids are asking "What are they marching for?"
That makes me really sad.
