The town has gone Kick-Awesome

Wow, you could tell driving home that Little Rock was in full swing in preparation for Kris Allen to return to Arkansas. Hopefully the rain will hold off tomorrow when he is supposed to perform in the morning. The local Fox affiliate here had the interview with him and it was cute and humble and the local anchor acted all of 12, which was endearing and cute in itself. She totally ditched her co-anchor at the end so she could continue to hang with Kris. Too funny!

We have a swim meet this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday (yeah, on Mother's Day.) You'd think that would not be a good thing, but I can't think of a better way to spend Mother's Day than watching my kiddo blow it out of the water. :D:D Hopefully, that is.

He's not feeling well. He has pink eye and well really just a cold all over. I don't want him to race, but he is a committed little bugger and doc and coach say he's fine and just to keep him by himself. We'll see.

I'm tempted to see if a co-worker of mine who has the day off tomorrow would want to risk standing for hours and possibly getting drenched to see Kris. Meh. Maybe not, then both myself AND Boo would be sick. Not fun.

I voted like mad for Kris but I was so sad to see Allison go. I do believe she'd make the record I'd enjoy the most. I just love them girls who can belt it out. Kris would make a good one too methinks but really? I'm just curious as hell to see what Adam would even put on.

I'm really kind of all over the place with this post. Pluswhich, I really have nothing of substance to tell you, which should bother no one since this is what we're all here for right? The blogs about nothing. Very Seinfeldian. Ooo, I like that word.

I am reading A Thousand Splendid Suns at the moment. I've had the book forever, stuck it somewhere (which basically means I lost it in the forgetful kind of way) and found it the other day. I already love the main character. I know it's going to rip my heart out though, just like Kite Runner did.

There had better be a box from Barnes and Noble on my doorstep tomorrow. I pre-ordered the latest Percy Jackson book but didn't remember that since I was ordering other things, it would all ship together because of the "Free Shipping" deal, and then it all had to wait until it was all ready to go, and I'm fussed at no one but myself that I can't read it like...NOW.

Oh. OH! I know what I wanted to mention. Reverie Sound Revue. Next Release - June 23rd. Mark the calendar! There's even a website. Which has absolutely nothing of substance either, just like this post! ;)

Okay, I'm going. The craving for chocolate milk has surpassed the need to bore you all to tears. :P
