For anyone wondering why I haven't shared the results of my ED application to Emory, it's because I still have not received the letter. After checking the mail today and NOT seeing my decision letter, I decided that Emory definitely lied about when they sent out the decisions, because there is NO WAY that mail would take over 5 days to reach somewhere within the continental US. UChicago kids got their decisions on Monday, and those letters were sent out on Thursday or so. Ms. Hartman has already spoken to Emory for me, and the admissions counselor with whom she spoke told her that Emory is not releasing decisions over the phone and that the first people to get their letters received them today. They also said that if I don't get my letter tomorrow, they will consider telling me over the phone. Sure enough, I know someone or of someone who got their letter today, and what was the postmark date? DECEMBER 19th! I caught those fucking liars. Emory lied, their letters are postmarked four days later than they said they sent them out. GOOD JOB, assholes.
