I'm hurtin' for gifts for my friends...don't really have any ideas currently, want to make something not buy something, kinda running out of time since we were gonna meet up tomorrow....etc.
I found this in a blog post today:
it's a "line a day for ten years" calendar. you write one thing that happened to you every day of the year. The entry says The first year is the least rewarding, but I imagine that in 10 years, it will be a daily treat to be reminded of what happened on that date over the last decade.
found it here Thinking about making them for my Minnesota friends (the only friends I do gifts with). Is this dumb? would you like this present? is it dumb if I give everyone this same thing? (I would like personalize them with the postcards or whatever...) is it dumb if I only give them like the cards for January right now because I don't have the time or the resources to make the whole thing right away? and just kinda like explain the idea?
feeling really insecure about this IF YOU CAN'T TELL lol.
but I think it would be really cool to look back at them, together, in one or two or five or ten years. as our lives grow more apart and all.
maybe it feels weird because it's kinda sentimental and that's not usually my ~role~ in the group.
need input plzkthx!
(public entry so I can get non-LJ help)
