Ok so a bunch of shit has happened since I last updated.... where shall I begin....
I went to Amsterdam and Paris!!!! I absolutly fell in love with Amsterdam and I must return as soon as possible. It was amazing. Paris was wonderful too, even though it's filled with a bunch of people who are quite smug to Americans. Everything over there is rich with history; it's so beautiful and ornate. Comming back to the U.S., despite it's convienience and familiarity, was a little dissapointing; everythings so flat and spread out and... is a corporate chain. I can't wait to see more of Europe.
As soon as I got back I was slammed in the face with a 46.75 hour work week, and 10 working days in a row. I was a bit worn out. Since then I've been working pretty much full time, which is ok considering I'm not in school, but at first it wore me out. I'm just now starting to get used to it again. Also, I recieved a perfect 3 on my review (only me and one other person got that) and a 21 cent raise, woooooo 21 cents!! =P I've also begun my supervisor trianing which, once completed, will yeild another dollar an hour raise. Im very much looking forward to that. The training is kinda long though, and I have to pass a written test and present a coffee tasting and go before a pannel review of several DM's, ooo nerve racking. Hopfully I dont become social-anxiety crippled.
Also, a couple weeks back, I drove into Treys car. Now, you must understand the fustration of this situation: Trey had been in an accident about a month before (not his fault) this and had JUST gotten his car back from the shop. 4 days later, I drive into it. I was attempting a half ass parallel park and clipped the front drivers side, denting in the tire well and scratching his front bumper pretty badly. I didnt think it was going to be more than about $5-600 to fix, so I insisted he go get an estimate. Well, we get the estimate about a week later...$1700!!!! Now, if you know me, I don't have 1700 to just throw around so I was a little upset. we got a second estimate (after having to pay a bullshit 100 holding fee to the first palce) and it came in at $1039, a little better. I had to call my dad for help =[. so I will be paying him back in installments over the next few months, but Treys car is back now and looks and drives better than ever so I'm ok with the whole situation.
The kitties are BIG now, going on about 8-10 weeks. We've named them luke and alex. My mom picked the name luke, since thats the cat she will be taking home, and we named the little girlie after a Home Movies episode with an over-priveledged cat. They're both healthy and using the litter box (fairly regularly =/) and soon it will be time for all their shots and fixes =x.
Since we've returned from our vacation, Trey has started at his new position at work which is awesome for him, however hes having to work the graveyard shift for the first month or so (12am- 9am) which is starting to wear him out. We are basically on opposite schedules, so we only get a few hours a day to hang out. Eventually he will return to his normal schedule, but im sure it'll be just as we're both getting used to this one (if that's possible) cause thats how it always works =P
Life in general is going pretty well for me, except that I have this empty feeling that is usually filled with talking with my two best friends in the world. I feel like im losing touch with them and my past, I want so badly to talk with them, but every time I make a plan to call, something comes up (excuses excuses).I feel like there's never enough time to do what I want, after I do what I have to do, and it's gotton to the point that I feel almost scared to call. I feel guilty for not having done anything sooner. (you can stop rolling your eyes now =P) Sometimes I hate the games my mind plays with me, it always seems to makes huge knots out of what should be rational thinking. I'm going to make a point to call both of them (you know who you are) next week. I have two days off after my supervisor training class on tuesday, so i should be able to do that, provided I havent already been 86'd.
Sunday is Father's Day. I bought my dad a gift basket from Austinuts. It's pretty cool, I think he'll like it. Both my mom and dad are comming up to visit on Sunday. We'll prolly go out to lunch (my treat) and they'll pick up the kittie. I need to clean house before then, and I need a new vaccuum... it's always somethin =P
I guess that's about all for now. It's been a fairly decent update, I'm pleased =] so until next time....
