so today was pretty much one gigantic head ache.
i went to best buy, at ingram park, around 12:30 to have my stereo installed. the guy took a quick look at my car and said to come back at 3 and he could get to work. so i was optimistic and happy. my mom and i went over to olive garden for lunch and to pass time. i had some really good chicken alfredo, and some good conversation... dropped 25 on lunch... and then left more than half of my alfredo in a take home box on the table =[.
we still had about an hour to kill, so we then went back west to de zavala and hit up walmart. i dropped off my film for one hour development, which i was told would take over 2 hours because the processor had broken earlier. i then began to look for the stuff i had on my list for moving.... found not a thing there. if anyone is familiar with the walmart on de zavala, you know how much of a pain it is to go there. so i was amongst all of this and couldn't get anything. so its now 3 pm, and i havent accomplished a thing, save for the film and lunch.
i call up best buy to make sure they can still fit me in, and sure enough they can, so this makes me smile. we head back out to ingram and another guy looks at my car... he sees that in the process of stealing my stereo the "robbers" had also stolen the brackets. this isnt uncommon. so he tells me i can get some at the dealership, and that the dealership is only about a mile down the road. seeing as it doesn't seem like such a big deal, i get in my car and head over there, after making sure that they would hold a spot for me for installation.
i arrive at the nissan dealership and head to the parts department, where im "greeted" by a guy who obviously hates his job. i ask about the parts, and he kind of snickers, telling me that they wont work and that its a waste of money. i insist i still want them because i know best buy wont do shit without them. so he types a few keys into his com-pu-ter, and heads to the back. as hes turning away from the desk he mentions that they only have one. i assume he means one set, and am not worried. he then returns with one fucking bracket. one left bracket. ARGH!!! i ask how long it will take to order them, he says about 3 days. i turn around and walk out. as i was leaving i asked one of the salesmen if there was another dealership near by, and he tells me theres one on heubner (all the way back out by de zavala) sooo i head out there.
i arrive at heubner, ancira nissan, and walk to the parts department. they, of course, have no brackets. i asked the guy (who was a lot nicer) to check if any other dealership in town had them, and of course, no dice. so i finally break down and order them. they'll be here Friday. (35 dollars for 2 little pieces of metal =/)
we then head back out to boerne stage road to pick up a frappuccino from my work and the schedule for next week (to see when i could go back to have my stereo installed) but nope, the schedule is not done. SIGH.
after this we drop by heb, and then the walmart in boerne. i finally get something accomplished. i found everything i was looking for at the walmart =]. by this time im so tired of being out, and its about 6:30, but i couldn't head home until i ventured back out to de zavala to pick up the film i dropped off earlier, DOH.
finally made it home around 7:15.
i still have to start packing and do some laundry, and i work tomorrow at 11:45.
oh and did i mention that it was hot as a crotch today? which made all of this 10 times more annoying. bleh.
all in all i wasted about a half a tank of gas driving around.
