Notes: I needed a way to deal with the spoilers for season 4 and came up with the idea of writing a series of drabbles, both from Kurt and Blaine’s POV. Just small pieces of thoughts and feelings as they stumble along the way which surely will bring them back together, where they belong. I am going to post a small piece whenever I come up with something (which probably will be each day considering that I need writing to relax after all the mess my rl is right now). The name of the series is “Scattered thoughts on the way back home”.

On the plane back to Ohio Blaine has the feeling his body, his whole being, has just vaporised and vanished, dispersed in the wide circle of the sky surrounding him.
Things seem out of focus, threatening to fall off the edge of reality. His eyes don’t see the back of the seats in front of him, his ears don’t register the chattering of the hostesses. The only thing that exists is the memory of Kurt’s eyes, shimmering behind the tears, of his trembling lips, of their hearts splitting open under silent trees.
Blaine takes a deep breath and closes his eyes; hoping that everything will stop spinning and falling and breaking. It doesn’t and Blaine doesn’t remember the last time he felt like this, lost and floating with nothing to keep him tethered to the ground.
