every weekend should be four days long

Thursday we went to San Ramon to visit. A good day to get family drama off my chest to people that understand all too well. It was good to share. Got to play guitar hereo. The pies and cranberry sauce went over well. All the food was delicious, I learned the secrets of the creamed spinach. =D I am thankful for quite a lot this year.

Friday, much lazing about. A lot of "what do _you_ want to do for our birthdays?" In some ways having our birthdays so close together is cool and fun. In other ways, not so much. Leftover pumpkin pie was consumed, dvds watched and lots of cuddles on the couch. Followed by a party invitation issued, some cleaning and cooking prep.

Saturday, shopped and cleaned and cooked and then spent a lot of time being comfortably social. Very pleased that some people were able to come by on such short notice. Those who could not attend were missed. The food was pretty good, the company was wonderful and we even got in a few games. :)

Sunday went to delicious brunch at Mama's, I was craving hollandaise, so we braved the long wait. Thanks to the instigator of brunch!

Then some more snuggling and relaxing and puttering about until it was time to dress up for dinner. I put on my new little black dress that has been lying around in my room just waiting for the right occasion. It was not an especially fancy night, but I decided dressing up worked for me. We went to friends for dinner and lots of cake. We played around on the Wii and I got to play with sparklers in the yard. (shh! don't tell anyone!) Yay! Happy Birthday to me!

Now, I just have to figure out how to make caramida's birthday special...
