You don't know how happy you made me posting this. This one always kicks my ass.

You’re glad you’re the one to do it. You never wanted to, but you promised and its better this way, someone he knows, someone who loves him.

Not a council member who never recognized the difference his soul made.

I never thought Cordy could do it in the later years, after she fell in love. But this convinced me she could and would have. But the ending - the life stretching ahead of her without him - I can't imagine the guilt mixing with the talks with herself about how she had to in order to save others. It will certainly change her and in not the best way.

I see her taking it all inside, and holding it there. In a darker universe, she'd be hard to the bone, tall and flowing like water and completely untouchable.

As much as she humanized Angel, I think Angel softened her too. Without him, she'd still work to save the world, maybe start her own agency or join the new Council, but it would be as Queen C, not Cordy.
