Addie Lu We Love YOU
Well, I am officially an AUNT. My brother and his wife received Miss Addison Louise Sunday morning at 2AM our time. I think it was a very emotional event according to my mom. Anyways, the past two days have been a MAJOR adjustment/"who the hell are you people and where is my foster mom" kind of days. She has had an upset stomach, screaming, crying, and biting because of all of the newness. I can't say that I blame her one bit. I know if I were Asian and spoke only Chinese and then some white folks with a strange southern, foreign language took me, I would not be a happy camper either. She has some very good happy giggle moments, but I think the "fits" are making it really hard on my family. Plus the city they are in(Nanchang) is not clean and very unsafe. Please say and extra prayer tonight for my family and especially Miss Addie. A prayer for peace and comfort as she learns that she is with a loving family who cares for her very much. I know God has wonderful things in store for this child, but it is really hard to hear her, mom, and my brother so upset on the phone. To top it off they are a million miles away and there is nothing I can physically do to help. They will not be home until the 26th so we still have a long journey ahead of us. I pray they have a better day today filled with smiles, laughter, and sugar plums or whatever else little girls are made of!
