He looks like a pink nightmare!

Tonight, I felt like writing so ladies and gentlemen you may now have a glimpse as to what I've been up to the past 2 months. All my assignments for the entire semester were due the 2 weeks after Thanksgiving break. Those two weeks were pure torture; staying up all night to finish projects, writing 34 lesson plans and reflections, BS, BS, and more BS. The sad part of those 2 weeks...I enjoyed almost every minute of it! I only cried once(when my computer crashed) and didn't stress out to much. I am so thankful to have completed another semester and to have finished my last semester of classes. 3 A's and 1 B, not to shabby! Student teaching look out and graduation in May? Who knows what the future holds...I'm up for almost anything.

I have also gotten to spend some quality time with my brother and sister-in-law. They invited Ben and me to the Gala. It was so much fun. I have some great memories from that night. I even got to meet Franklin's mom(she's precious) and Ben booty danced with her! I wish I had taken pictures, but now I know who Franklin gets his good moves from. Good times for everyone looking so amazing and dancing the night away!

The best news I have to share...I am going to be an AUNT! Jeremy and Alicia sent in their paperwork and in 16-18 months a precious child from China will be joining our family! I have been calling her my Baby Wonton and mom's calling her Little Sun-Moon. I am so proud and happy for my brother and sis. They are going to be terrific parents and that child will be smothered with love. Mom and I have already started by books for her(mom has been purchasing books for her grandchildren for the last 5 years) The sweetest thing I have seen: when Jeremy was telling our parents they were going to be grandparents, mom and dad both started crying with joy! I have never seen my parents in that way.

In other adoption news, Marlo(Alicia's sister) and Travis have been cleared by the courts of Guatemala and are just waiting on the call from the Embassy to go get little Emerson. I hope they get the call before Christmas, but I'm thinking it will be the week after. Either way I can't wait, I'm the "honorary aunt" and that child is the cutest baby EVER! I can't wait to meet her and see what's stored in those little fat cheeks of hers.

Lastly, I'm just enjoying my Christmas break. We went to see the lights at the Botanical Gardens this weekend. I loved every second of it. It brought back so many memories of going to look at lights as a child. The gaudy ones were always my favorite. Yesterday, mom and I made Christmas tree cookies(it's tradition). They are highly nutrients and delicious! Today, I had a pj day. Tomorrow I will attempt to finish my Christmas shopping, may it be quick and painless!

Now, I'm fighting the urge to watch my DVD of The Christmas Story. I always watch it 24 hours on Christmas Day. It is my FAVORITE Christmas movie EVER and I'm the proud owner of a miniature leg lamp this season. It's beautiful and very fragiley(not really).

So I leave you tonight with one question...What is your favorite Christmas movie?
