my mom comes home and has a book in her hands.
she says "i got this for you.."
then hands it to me.
it's a book called "eczema free -- for life"
she wants me to read it.
she says the dermotoligist who wrote knows what he's talking about.
she leaves me room, and i flip through the index with an open mind.
i see over 700 pages of scientific diagrams, cute captions and solutions like meditation and moisturizers.
all of the information is what i've heard before.
nothing is new.
and it isn't even like i wanted to know more about why my skin itches.
and he teaches lessons in there about how to identify if a patch of fry skin is 'itchy' or 'infected'.
as if i couldn't tell by myself.
oh! and the best part is when the doctor talks about how hard it is for teens to go through this.
and how they should become a part of Eczema Support Groups. no joke.
it made me want to cry.
why does my mom care more than i do?
she shouldn't care at all as far as i'm concerned.
