So. neu111 mentioned yesterday that the fans of Harper's Island are apparently ardent Wikipedia editors. And, true enough, since Callum's appearance in the series his article went through some... changes.
Rennie had a recurring role in the reimagined Battlestar Galactica as the Cylon known as Leoben Conoy. In the mini-series he gets into a big fight with papa Adama who eventually manages to kill him. But then in season 1 episode 8 he comes back and he's tortured by Starbuck because he said there was a bomb somewhere in the battlestar and she wants to know where; and also he's killed again when the president airlocks him. And he comes at the end of season 2 in the last episode because he's not dead or rather because he's a cylon and cylons just regenerate and he's looking for Starbuck. He also played the part of record producer Lew Ashby throughout the second season of Californication. Lew Ashby meets (uh? forgot the name /n\) well, DD's character at a party where DD accidentally went upon the girl that Lew Ashby was fucking but in episode 2 they meet in prison and become best friends and Lew asks -uh? - ah! got it: Hank Moody - to write his biography and they become best friends and just before the last episode Lew overdoses over bad crack but he's back in the last episode with a huge cock because maybe Lew Ashby was a cylon and anyway he will be back in Battlestar The Plan as Leoben because he's a cylon.
In 2009, Rennie has appeared in photographs and news articles as presumed dead serial killer John Wakefield, on the limited-run series Harper's Island. In later episodes, he appears in person as it is revealed his character is alive.
In epidsode 11 (Harpers Island) he killed Shane and Nikki after breaking in the Cannery. Later on he corners Cal & Chloe on a bridge with no way to escape, stabbing Cal in neck and throwing him off a bride and causing Chloe to committ suicide, as Chloe is saying "you can't have me"
He is currently involved in two Canadian movies, Halo as Donald McMullen, whose daughter is on life support as the result of an accident, and his faith that even though the doctors have insisted she's brain-dead and will never come around, has been haunting her bedside, praying and neglecting his life in the vain hope that a miracle might happen. It's just before Christmas and her older sister Lizzie has come home to see just how bad things are, although we thought first he might play the new and unwelcomed parish priest, father J.J., whose parishioners see him as some sort of dirty hippie ("I know I'm not Father McEvoy . . . " he says apologetically, and gets the response, "Father McEvoy would wear proper footwear.") because Rennie used to wear sandals. And also he's filming Gunless with Paul Gross who was already with Rennie in Due South and in Wilby Wonderful where Rennie was also a (Mac)Donald and they nearly were together also in Men with Brooms but weren't because Rennie got to film Slapshot 2 which was directed by Steve Boyum who also directed Harper's Island episode 10.
Rennie resides in Vancouver, also spending time in Toronto and Los Angeles.
