I was able to be content to be around half a million strangers on New Years Eve.
I didn't want to go to the annual party at a family friend's place, as that makes me try to ignore the fact that I didn't have anywhere better to go.
I might have been able to go to that steampunk event that a few friends were going to, however I have not been inspired around fabric of late. I might have been able to go to that rave at the Telstra Dome, but I only heard about it on the night.
So I went to the city. Crown, Docklands, Flinders St, Fed Square, Birunmunup, and Southbank. Fireworks were nice. I got hugs from random girls again. Got stared at as I did para-para at Crown. Drove home listening to the music broadcast from the rave.
As I said, I wasn't too disapointed with the night. Now there are photos filtering through my LJ friends view of people, whom I really like spending time around, having fun. And I realised that I rarely actually do things with them.
So my resolution is to spend more time around people I like spending time with, doing fun and sociable things. Essentially, I want to be a better friend to those I concider my friends.
