...sigh...

Boy this summer, me, and jobs just are not mixing. I am just looking for any place to employ me. I first started my search at Menards, since it seemed like a relatively simple job, and pays pretty well. I turned in my application, and they called my asking what hours i could work. A few days later, after not hearing from them, i decided to give them a call, and the woman said that the reason she hadn't called back was because they were full at the moment. ok.

Next stop, i was thinking maybe the new best buy would still be a little short on help. So i filled out an enormously long application online, with around 80 question section on whether i Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, or Strongly Disagree. Well, the very next day i was called for an interview, and was very excited. I wasn't sure that the interview went that well, since it was all about past work experience, and i only had one real past experience at Mike's Custard Stand, which is now knocked down. So i eventually had to call them back, only to hear them say, "All i can say is, that we can't go any further with your application process past the interview." I thought that was a very strange response, but i figure that is their normal response, to avoid getting sued by anyon. But still, i'd like to know why they didn't want me. I'm assuming from what i heard, that someone didn't think that they were hiring. So once again...no success.

Tonight was my latest try. An online application for Pick'n Save. OK, i'm really desperate. Another long application, along with one of those stupid questionaires. I finish it, only to find that the screen that comes up says something along the lines of thank you for your time, but we are choosing to search elsewhere. I couldn't believe...i don't know whether it was in response to the times that i stated i could work, or in response to the answers to the questionaire, but i was seriously rejected by a computer. How in the world is a computer supposed to judge if i'm good enough to work at Pick'n Save. And really, how much skill does it take to stock shelves at Pick'n Save. So i'm pretty pissed off at the moment. And i guess i'll try something like Wal-Mart or Target. Please...SOMEONE GIVE ME A JOB!!!
