Springboard #23 - Laugh All You Want
Sometimes you just have to laugh. Ever break down and laugh on the job? Something make you smile when it really shouldn't have? Talk about a time when you just couldn't help yourself.
Danny and I worked this case back in late February - some guy killed his wife and her boyfriend in their hotel room and tried to make it look like a double-suicide. He actually cleaned up the crime scene so well that when Danny was processing he found next to nothing in the bathroom. It smelled like someone went overboard with Pine-Sol, so we kept exchanging barbs about lemons and the like.
I just so happened to have responded to Danny saying "when life gives you lemons" with a joke I once heard on television - "when life gives you lemons, you find someone whose life gave them vodka and have a party". I remember walking away from that scene giggling like a little girl. Those were the days.
For the record, cracking jokes over a staged double-suicide is probably not appropriate, but it worked for us.
