Springboard #20 - Okay, You're Weirding Me Out

Aug 14, 2008 00:07

Ever have a bizarre, unexplainable case/client/situation on the job? Has anything ever just been too weird or uncomfortable for you?

Now, I know I have not experienced anything nearly as unusual as the cases Lieutenant Murphy, Agent Mulder, or Agent Scully have worked with... but then again there are several different kinds of "weird".

Take, for instance, the man who thought he was Noah that Detective Flack dealt with. This is just the generic weird case that you would expect to come across in New York City. I was working patrol one night in Central Park and I got the call that there was a disturbance not far from where my partner and I were.

There was a skinny thirty-year-old white man running around the park in a silver g-string with a paper cone strapped to his head. He was convinced that he was a unicorn trying to find the rest of his herd. He was on LSD and all I want to say is that I'm thankful I wasn't the one who had to cuff him.
