Ever have a bizarre, unexplainable case/client/situation on the job? Has anything ever just been too weird or uncomfortable for you? Talk about it!

Hand down, I’d say the most unexplainable, bizarre experience I’ve ever had while on the clock was the curse of the coffin. I thought it was a joke at first. I had a laugh when Delko refused to touch the evidence that was connected with Santeria. Although I have to admit, I thought the severed deer head in the closet was freaky, and the mysterious coffin that was laying beside the Vic was a little much.

I had no idea that day was going to get a hell of a lot worse. When I was walking towards the morgue to talk to Alexx. I swear saw something move out of my peripheral vision, and needless to say, I was scared shitless. I hesitated before turning around, and a body literally sat up, and gasped. I did what any real man would do. I ran.

Valera got a match from the epithelia’s found under the vic nails, and when I saw the picture of the man. I was in complete shock. You would never believe it, but it was the body from the morgue.

I had to tell Alexx. Something wasn’t right. She uncovered the body that I apparently saw sit up, and it was a completely different guy. I was convinced that I was cursed. I had to have been, because right after that, my hands went numb, and I couldn’t move them.

Turns out the man that was in the morgue, the zombie, tried to fake is own death. He used tetrodotoxin, or blowfish poison, to temporally cause muscle paralysis. When I touched the table, the poison was transferred onto my hands, and that caused the lack of movement in my hands.

That was just one example of what took place during that shift. It was probably the worst case for me. To this day, I’m convinced that I’m cursed because of that small Santeria coffin.
