Most of you have been hurt before on the job. Let's hear about a memorable one... or two or a dozen injuries you've had.
Oh, so many to choose from. When you're working a corner, or going undercover, injuries tend to come with a job. Usually it's a lot of sprained ankles from running in those heels, but occasionally you do find a moment of spectacular grace more than most. It could be something entirely random, it could be a planned attack by a john, it could just be you tripping over your own two feet. But if you want to know my most spectacular moment of grace?
Ran into a two-by-four when chasing down a john once. Wound up with a concussion and a really nasty headache, and my partner wasn't too thrilled when he had to sit up and keep me awake for six hours that night. Especially considering he really had no idea how to play Uno.
Now, to give myself some credit, the two-by-four was swung at me, it wasn't just stretching out into the alleyway, and I, in all my gracefulness happened to collide with it, so that at least saved me some face. But I still was the girl who wound up on her back in the alley, dazed and claiming there were two or more of my partner, which really doesn't look so good.
