Going up the ladder...

Promotions should be a good thing, right? They should be something met with happiness at knowing your hard work--or someone else's--has been recognised. Right? I've just got nothing but a feeling of dread. I'm selfish enough to not want mine and Campbell's partnership split up.

So anyway, guess I'm asking how everyone else has dealt with promotions, or even partnerships being split up. Help me get some perspective.
