Local Authorities versus Federal Authorities?

I've been in the Secret Service for at least a decade now, seen two presidents including our current leader and I still don't understand this:

What the hell is it that keeps Federal and Local authorities from working together cohesively? There's alot of jargon about pissing contests and such, but all I want to do is make sure that things go

Nope. Woman thought she was a werewolf and was killing girls to break the "curse".

...That's the kind of person who's supposed to be kept out by all those extra psych screenings we Feds are supposed to undertake.

Apparently, the Fed's psychological screening wasn't as good as they thought.

She came to Chicago and made the mistake of trying to frame and kill a friend of mine. She was caught.

And for what it's worth, you're absolutely right about our psychological screenings. The idea of people being anything less or more then robots when trying to do something like Protect the president Solve a Federal crime is a popular one.

Thanks, but there's nothing really to be sorry about. She was caught and she didn't succeed in killing my friend.

I've never been through Fed screening so I have no idea how good it is or how good this agent was at faking it.

It's not that exciting. I despise shrinks.

Shrinks have their purpose. I've never claimed to understand it, but they have one.
