Here is a list of the sales at Walgreen's March 1 - 7. I have just included basic household and grocery items, so pick up the ad to check out the rest! It is in the weekend Emporia Gazette. I have compared the prices for all prices I have already to try to help out and keep in mind that Walgreen's will accept manufacturer's coupons along with their store coupons. Here goes:
Walgreen's brand batteries:
Buy 1 at $5.99 get 1 free
AA or AAA 8 pack = $.374 per battery
C or D 4 pack = $.749 per battery
9 Volt = $1.498 per battery
Dawn Dish Liquid:
10.3 oz. for $.99 = $.096 per oz.
You can get dish liquid at Aldi for $.060 per oz.
If you have a coupon be sure to re-figure the unit price. ($.99 - coupon = total price / 10.3 oz. = unit price)
Tide Laundry Detergent
Liquid or Powder 20 - 40 loads on sale for $5.99 - $1 register rewards = $4.99
Register rewards are only good for your next purchase and the unit price will depend on the size you get
Bounty Paper Towels
12 pack big rolls = 16 regular rolls for $13.49 = 1 regular roll for $.843
You can get a roll of paper towels at Aldi for $.59, but it is a low quality (good for very small spills)
Cottonelle Toilet Paper
24 double rolls = 48 regular rolls for $12.99 = $.271 per roll
You can get toilet paper at Aldi for $.198 per roll, but again it is the lowest quality. This cottonelle is cheaper than Price Chopper's store brand though.
If you have a coupon, be sure to re-figure this price as well, but remember most coupons save more when you buy the smallest possible item you can with them.
