well, today i did the unthinkable.
my mom and i took my niece out to lunch and then went shopping at old navy. it was amazing, i actually BOUGHT CLOTHES THAT FIT AND LOOK GOOD. the shopping gods must have been smiling on me, because i also found the cutest shoes ever. i am completely and utterly in love with them...too bad they dont fit so well:(
but i still have undying love for them. i love them so much that i whipped out my phone and was so close to text messaging alyssa about them, but then my niece wanted to go to DSW, so i didnt get too:( but they honestly are the cutest shoes ever. i <3 my new shoes
ok so heres what i bought: a black zip up like the one i already have, a black shirt that ACTUALLY BARES MIDRIFF. YES YOU HEARD ME RIGHT, I AM SHOWING SOME SKIN IN THAT BABY. two brown shirts, a green shirt, a green sweatshirt, and an orange shirt that i got just for the heck of it. i also got a yellow shirt but i'm returning it because it makes me look fat.
so we went to lunch at Applebees, which was alright, but i took the safe road and ordered chicken fingers and fries. really breaking out of the mold, huh? so we're sitting there and my neice megan and i struck up a little dialogue that made me want to throw up, it went as follows:
Megan: "Caroline, do you still have to wear your brace anymore?"
Me: "Nope, not since last May."
Megan: "I wish I had one because I want to be skinny."
Me: *mouth is wide open*
My Mom: "well Megan, people are skinny while they wear the brace, but once they get it off they go back to being their normal girl shapes."
Megan: "I'm fat."
Me: *mouth is still wide open* "Dont say things like that! You're not fat."
WTF?! SHE'S NOT EVEN NINE!!!!!!!!!
that really got my goat. (props to Mr. Lundberg for teaching us what that saying means)
so then we took Megan home and I got to see her brothers Jack and Tyler, who is one and a half and is just starting to talk. he's so cute
time to go do some homework. yay...
