so..my dog sarge has cancer and only has 4 or 5 months left to live.
if you want the long story, here it is.
he has been in really bad shape the past few months. he's not himself anymore. he lays around all day and cant climb the stairs at all anymore. his left eye swelled up really bad and its swollen shut. the doctor said it was just somethin having to do with hes teeth and that it can cause fluids to swell the eye up and that we should just give him this medicine and he would be ok. months later its only worse. and now his ear swelled up really bad too. so we had to take him to a specialist so he could get surgery. they did blood work and found cancer cells. she said at his age doing treatment isnt a garunteed fix and that we should just take him home and make him comfortable for the last months of his life. he has pain medicine. and once he gets to the point where hes suffering we have to put him down. =( its seriously horrible. if any one knows me, they know that sarge isnt just a dog. hes part of the family. he sits next to the table during dinner and eats the same food we eat. weve had him for 10 years, all his life. hes been amazing. hes so well trained and well behaved. i love him so much. trying to picture my life without him is as hard as picturing my life without my mom or dad. this hurts me so bad. im going to miss him alot.
