I am not sure if I am just getting tired of the show, but last night's Grey's Anatomy, which was supposed to be like "Code Black" last year (which I thought was sweet) was bad. Even the choice of music at the end (an abstract Frou Frou song) was bad, really bad. I think either the good writers on the show quit, they just enjoy the smell of their own farts too much now to write a good show. Sad.
On that note, I am watching season 1 of Scrubs. Like Lummel, Dr. Perry Cox is now my hero. Holy shit he is awesome. If I am ever fortunate enough to become faculty somewhere I really hope I come off that way to my grad students.
Other shows I'm into:
1. Entourage- I think its just because I relate to the main character, Eric, both in personality and in height (or lack thereof).
2. Prison Break- Never dissapoints each week and I get pissed when its over, much like seasons 1 and 2 of 24.
3. Heroes- The only thing that makes me happy when Prison Break is over is that Heroes is on, which is not only an awesome show but a chance for me to study some Japanese. They have had so much build up in that show over the past few weeks where something big was supposed to happen. When it did, it wasn't huge, but good enough to keep me satisfied. Definately my favorite new show.
4. Rob and Big- I have never seen two more likable people on reality TV. They are too good to even be doing reality TV.
I tried watching Smallville for a while, mostly because Lana Lang is uber-hot, but it couldn't keep me interested. I'm thinking of giving "House" a shot? Anybody seen it? That, or movies, any good ones? What are people watching recently?
Also, someday I am think of not getting cable for anything and just getting Netflix and only watching TV shows via DVDs. It is so much better to be able to watch the whole season at once. Also, its really sad that arrested development is no more. I can't think of a show on TV that was funnier than it was. Even Seinfeld wasn't as good.
