When I recall a dream, I usually jot it down or most of the time I record it to my dream journal on a little dictation unit, but I seldom commemorate it here. Today's was one of the rare magical ones though, so I felt you might enjoy it. ^v^
The main themes I have in dreams are magical or architectural, and of course work-related is also a huge category. This one was a combo of work and fantasy.
My co-foreman and I were at some sort of large educational-like institution, something like the UCLA campus, so I guess even architectural has a hand in it. :D
We were working on some problem that seemed to require additional skills from a tenured master, and I don't know how we got the word out, but somehow that need got sent to my training-master with whom I mentored, and moments later, he showed up.... as a very large raven!
He was wearing a sign around his neck and peering into windows looking for us. I think the sign was to assist humans in understanding who he was and why he was there to help, since he could not communicate verbally as the raven. He looked into our door window and didn't see us, so he continued further onward, hopping along the building sidewalk... but we saw him, so I opened the door and got his attention.
He then quickly hopped back towards me and lept into my arms for a momentary hug of warm reunion, because it had been a year or two since we had encountered each other. ^v^
I set him down, and he transformed back into my mentor, whose form was similar to the wizards in the Harry Potter tales or Lord of the Rings, after which we set forth to solve whatever the problem was at the computer console.... and then I awoke.
I've frequently said that dreams are like free entertainment, and this one certainly fulfilled that description!
