As I was recently pressed into the service of this community by edoraslass, I think I should introduce myself
to the ladies present.
I'm aervir, a fan of the Hornblower TV series, a casual viewer of Pirates of the Caribbean (I much prefer the first part to the sequel, by the way), an occasional reader of Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey-Maturin novels (on which the film Master and Commander was based) and an even more occasional reader of books on maritime history and the Age of Sail.
Hmm, this is all very boring, isn't it? So, to uphold the good (?) old Navy traditions of rum, sodomy and the lash (well, mainly the part with the sodomy...), I come bearing gifts, i.e. a fanfiction recommendation that should be corrupting enough. It's Shore Leave by damned_colonial and commodorified, which is very much non-worksafe, so consider yourself warned.
Crossover between Hornblower, POTC, Master and Commander and Sharpe, and PWP as PWP can. Enjoy.
