(no subject)
[Note: This post was mostly finished on Jan 1st. It might be a bit late for a refection of 2010, but I barely post anymore, so whatever.]
I normally don't make New Year's resolutions, but last year I decided to make one: that 2010 would be an awesome year. And here we are, one year later, and my resolution came true!
Now granted, going into the start of the year there was already some stuff I'd been looking forward to (disclaimer: some of it is pretty damn nerdy)
- Bret Hart, who'd left WWE on really bad terms in 1997 finally made his peace with them, and was scheduled to return on the first RAW in January
- Final Fantasy XIII was to be released in March
- I was going to be going to India in May, for the first time in 25 years.
- Angela was getting married in August, and I was to be a bridesmale on her side of the wedding party
So I figured that I had stuff to look forward to at least until September, stuff which would basically guarantee a great year, no matter what happened for the rest of it. And all that stuff ended up being awesome, so come September, I realized my resolution had already come true. As it turns out the rest of the year was pretty great too, as I started dating my amazing girlfriend that same month. Coincidentally, I'd met her for the first time last New Year's Eve, and while she didn't have anything to do with my resolution at the time, she certainly ended up affecting the result.
So here it is, 2011. This year certainly has a lot to live up to. I'm not going to make a resolution this time, but it's off to a great start so far. Here's hoping it keeps up!
