Recent events have led to budget constraints, which have in turn led to creativity with respect to creature comforts - especially coffee drinks. While I envy those who can afford to pay a barista to concoct their daily caffeine fix, I am not among them. However, as one who enjoys a little bit of funk in the coffee cup, I have devised the following:
poor man's latte: brew a strong-ass pot of coffee. Heat up some milk on the stove. Grab a bottle of flavored syrupy goodness (I bought target brand "sugar free hazelnut".) Pour, pour, pour, stir.
poor man's mocha: brew a strong-ass pot of coffee. Heat up some milk on the stove. Grab a packet of hot cocoa mix (or a generous squeeze of hershey's syrup). Pour, pour, pour, stir.
also, at dinner time:
poor man's chicken parmesan: cook a boca chik'n patty. pour some 'sketti sauce on top.
I am curious if anyone else has gotten creative in the cupboards cuz their wallets are crying.
