I swear, everyday, I'm getting closer and closer to pulling a Gwyneth by getting the hell out of the USA.
I'm seriously considering it if Kerry loses. More than considering it... really thinking hard about it. As soon as I graduate, I'm claiming asylum somewhere else cuz things are ridiculous.
The Bill of Rights is literally vanishing in front of our eyes. The "Patriot" Act really sealed it for me. How that passed... I'm still not sure but that pretty much confirmed my impending part-time American status. I'd love to have a house in another country, maybe France or England and live in pseudo exile til things cool down, which may never happen. I just can't deal with the "you can't say anything bad about our great President Bush" hypocrisy from the same fucktards who called Clinton a murderer. Hell, when you have Britney Spears telling you that you should believe in whatever our "great" President says, you know we're in a world of trouble.
When did my fellow Americans become so brainwashed? Sure we have our protests but it's nothing like the 60's. There's too much apathy and the "I got my own problems, fuck yours" mentality has run rampant through our communities. I hate this passiveness.
I hate waiting 2.5 months to know what I'm going to do as my next step...
should I stick it out? or run for my life!?!
I'm proud to have been born here and be female because life elsewhere could be much, much worse. I think of all the human rights being violated as I type this and I'm really sad. I fear that we're headed down that path if things don't change. We're being raped but in another sense...
Why isn't Bush being impeached for all his lies? If Clinton could go down for lying about a blow job... how does having 951 soldiers killed on false pretense garner a "it's ok, sweetie?" How exactly does that work?
The democrats are starting to make me fucking sick. I'm really an independent but I know a third party will NEVER get enough votes. Democrats are so weak and spineless, they just say "yessuh, Boss" when the Patriot Act got passed and when Bush argued for war. It fucking angers me! Why isn't a committee asking for some damn answers? Even the 9/11 commission said this fucker is crazy. Yet NOTHING gets done. What are the senate majority and the house minority leaders doing? Twiddling their damn thumbs? My goodness. Is every member of Congress fucking stupid? Who the hell is running this country?
I'm convinced that everything down to the fireworks is a damn lie. "American Dream"? Try nightmare.
