Le weekend

The past three weekends have all been pretty damn good. I had two weekends in a row off from track meets, which rocked. Two weeks ago, my weekend consisted of picture taking, re-learning how to knit, and assorted other amoeba-related activities. Last weekend I went into DC to hang with the fam. Chinese food, my own bathroom, taking the train with Catherine, going to the Baltimore craft show with my aunt (new earrings!), and general family togetherness- good times. Monday we had our first college snow day! Fucking 10 am track practice *grumbles* Later, there was an insane knitting party in Robin's room with tons of people for most of the afternoon. My purple scarf is growing! Yesterday we had our first outdoor meet, which Goucher hosted. There were only two other teams, and there was only one non-Goucher female runner in the entire meet. So yeah, we did pretty well :)

Then last night I went into Bmore with Sarah, Lauren, Catherine, Anna, and Ali, to see Hotel Rwanda at the Charles Theater. I hadn't been to the theater before, and it's a really cool, hip place. There were a bunch of other Goucher kids there seeing the movie too, so that was cool. The movie was amazing. It is definitely a story that needs to be told. The movie was over at 9:15 and the shuttle wasn't supposed to come until 10:15, so we had about an hour to hang out afterwards. There's a little baby storefront next to the theater, and all it sells is crepes. So we had dessert while we waited for the shuttle. :) I had one filled with chocolate and peanut butter. And I got a menu, for future reference. They have carryout! The shuttle came a little before 10:30, and we got back to school around 11:15. Then people came back and hung out in our room for awhile and we had tea. Sarah was sitting on her cushion and I was dozing off in my nest of clothes on the floor, because there were people sitting on both of our beds. Today was the usual off campus trip, and crazy times with frosted mini wheats. More about the beginning of the weekend to follow shortly.

And in other news, I got my period 9 years ago today...gooood times being a girl. :)
