BIRTHDAY!!
So all in all, my 19th birthday was an excellent day. Got up at 8 for my 8:30 class and Sarah got up with me to give me my present. She got me really cool earrings from Anthropologie and she made me a card. So I went to my 8:30, then had my poli sci exam at 10, which was the only not so fun part of my day. Had an hour in between classes so I talked to my parents and Jenna, who was up insanely early and is amusing when she's tired. Went to English, was wished multiple happy birthdays, and Antje sang to me. She is such a fucking awesome professor! Skipped social service today and just hung out in my room for a few extra hours, in addition to taking a fuckingly cold shower. Headed out for a birthday dinner at Bahama Breeze with Sarah, Lauren, Catherine, and Ali, which was excellent. We had a wicked cool waiter and we sat in this little heated porch/gazebo thing, which we eventually had all to ourselves as we were the last customers to leave the restaurant. Walked to Superfresh to get me a birthday cake and Sarah and I got Krispy Kreme donuts for the morning. :) Back on campus we split, and I headed down to the hole to see Alix Olson do a poetry reading, which was fucking amazing. Saw Sarah, who promised me a lunch date since she couldn't make dinner, and Anna and Jena, which was cool as usual. I'm glad I got to see Sarah, because it was about as close as I could get to actually being at home (which I missed today more than I'd admit). Got myself a couple of birthday presents...Alix's first CD, Built Like That, and a tank top with the quote "Skin is where this revolution's gonna begin...touching one woman at a time." Hotness. Came back to the room for cake with roommate Sarah, Lauren, Catherine, Ali, Simone, Anna, and majorly randomly, Tim and Charles, who leaped out of Sarah's closet yelling happy birthday as I walked in the door. What the fuck?? Simone made me three awesome paper cranes in a really cool envelope, and they are now sitting on top of my desk. Got messages from Amanda and Elyse, and talked to my grandparents and Kate, as well as Jenna, and I talked to Abby in the wee hours of the morning, which still counts as being on my birthday.
