Paris-palooza

Paris happened so long ago I'm not sure I can even journal about it anymore, and Erin's journal pretty much covers it. Here's some random thoughts:

Things I saw:
Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, Cupid and Psyche, Notre Dame, Centre Pompideu, Les Halles (I think), Bastille, Hotel de Ville

Things that happened:
- the longest tightest hug ever to begin the perviest reunion ever
- American Dream restaurant: TexMex food, belly dancing, lounge singing, Spanish music, and nasty perv waitors
- crepes and sandwiches
- laughing to tears in front of the Mona Lisa
- lots of rain/snow/cold
- getting thirsty
- getting 8 of my friends into a club
- turning 21
- Jack and Cokes for Kristen and Korn
- genius trickery against the hotel man
- running to the train, ice storm delaying the chunnel ride

Lessons learned:
- I like to wander around European cities
- technological dependence ruins many things
- I know my way around Paris, in a sense
- People can grow in different ways and because of different experiences but not grow apart
- long talks with lots of crying and expressing can prove plenty beneficial
- I speak amazing French when I'm drunk
- after French baguettes, I will never be able to eat at the Subway in Peoria
- I hate to admit that Paris is doing a better job promoting the olympics than London (sorry London)
- you can eat ice cream in a dish on the inside, but cones are for take-away only
- Parisian cab drivers do not want your business
- I know I currently have some of the best friends in my life (new and old)
- I appreciate everything more than anyone could know

I've almost been here two months and have a little over two months left. In less than a week all my wildest dreams will come true in Italy (especially the ones about the food)
