Some vital info. for you people who don't know the Chinese Zodiac:
1984- Year of the Rat
1985- Year of the Ox
1986- Year of the Tiger
1987- Year of the Rabbit
1988- Year of the Dragon
1989- Year of the Snake
1990- Year of the Horse
1991- Year of the Goat
1992- Year of the Monkey
1993- Year of the Chicken
1994- Year of the Dog
1995- Year of the Pig
For those born before the years outlined above, just remember the zodiac has a 12 year cycle, so you can work out your animal year from there.
Nothing really important... but you can easily tell a person's age from their animal year. I don't pay attention to the horoscope, but I do pay attention to the fact that it makes an interesting age-differentiation process (from what I know, John and Iwan are rabbits, Jave and most of the people I know are tigers, and I pretty much make easy friends with Oxen, esp. those my age. Oh, and there are lots of dragons, since dragon years are popular years.)
