• Announcements
  
  • I've revamped the organization of the newsletter for clarity and organization. Please let me know if this is better or worse than it was before...There is a general section at the top for community news and announcements. Everything else will be listed in alphabetical order, divided by fandoms. Some other fandom categories include: HD, CKR, Multi-fandom, Crossovers, and RPF/RPS.
    
• Chats
  
  • Next week's C6D chat will be held on June 14th and will feature a special out_of_con_txt edition of the chat, starting at 9 PM EST. Contact sisterofdream, sageness or malnpudl for more information.
    
• Conventions
  
  • Con.txt, a multimedia slash convention, is being held June 13th through June 15th in Silver Spring, Maryland. See con_txt for more information. The last day to register was May 31st. Important announcements, panel lists, panel schedules, swap table, pimping area and disco duck information have been posted.
    
  • For those of us who won't be attending con_txt, there will be out_of_con_txt starting Thursday, June 12th at 6pm Chicago time. A schedule has been posted and a call for volunteers has gone out. Join us for on-line hijinks.
    
  • CanCon 2008, a slash-oriented fan mini-convention running in parallel to the official RCW139 convention, is being held August 15th through August 17th. Check out can_con2008 for more details. Registration is now closed. Hotel information, the roommate thread and transportation information are now available. [Note outside LJ link]

  • About Face, starring HD, is slated to be shown at the Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto in mid-June. [note outside LJ link]
    
  • The First Weekend Club has a review, a trailer and dates of Young People Fucking. [note outside LJ link]

  • The 14th Annual Worldwide Short Film Festivalis taking place in Toronto from June 10th to June 15th. [note outside LJ link]
    
  • The Toronto Italian Film Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary. It is being held from June 11th to June 15th at the historic Bloor Cinema. [note outside LJ links]
    
  • The Tracey Fragments is being shown at the Northwest Film Forum in Seattle starting June 13th. Tickets available here. [note outside LJ links]

  • The Quality Of Life will air Saturday, June 14th at 9pm on CBC.
    
  • Flashpoint is premiering July 11th on both CTV (Canada) and CBS (US), Fridays at 10pm.
    
  • INK: Alter Egos Exposed will be showing Friday, June 6th at 8 pm on the IFC (Independent Film Channel) Canada. It will be rerun Saturday and Sunday mornings and is a must for any comic fans. There are ten episodes planned.
