I want to thank everyone for their support is getting this up and running. Without encouragement I wouldn't have gotten this far.

What you can do to help with c6d_weekly:

Take a moment to leave feedback. This is your chance to tell me what you like and don't like and most likely it will get changed. Is the format confusing? Is it readable? Should everything go under a lj-cut? Let me know what you think.

Look over the list of communities and the list of fandoms. Let me know about anything that might be missing.

Come up with questions that might need to be answered by a FAQ.

I would like a mod icon (or two) - if someone would be willing to donate the time and talent to make them. Pretty please?

The community needs a banner, something that shows off the diversity of the C6D fandoms. Again, if someone would be willing to donate the time and talent to make it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Community News:

Dinner with CKR is being auctioned off on Ebay.ca for charity. Bidding ends on April 12th. The current high bidder is mdbsgfan at $1,551CA (US$1,535). I am sure that mdbsgfan is accepting donations for this wonderful fangirl experience. [note outside LJ link]. According to the Babz Chula Lifeline For Artists Society the eBay page is currently unavailable due to a technicality.

A BSG choose your favorite canon 'ship poll is being run at battlestar_blog. Round one is over, the results are here, round two is currently running here.

Challenges/Ficathons News:

ds_aprilfools - begins April 1st and running until April 30th - the goal is to produce one C6D bit of fannish creativity every day for the month of April - being run very wonderfully by spuffyduds.

C6D Arbor Day Cardathon is being run by sisterofdream to uncelebrate Arbor Day. Cards should be mailed by April 18th. Arbor Day is April 25th.

amplificathon has posted some participant icons and an invitation to share other participant icons with the community. In addition, a schedule of updates for point standings and a masterlist of point standings has been posted. The current leader is idrillia.

Round 6 is going on at rounds_of_kink. Prompts will be accepted until April 15th. Prompts can be claimed from April 16th through April 30th. Fics are due May 1st through May 16th. Since prompts are still being suggested, this is a good time to submit C6D prompts. Contact silentflux for more information.

thearchive2 is running a Cylon challenge for the duration of Battlestar Galactica's Season 4. The Archive is for experimental fanworks for Battlestar Galactica Season 4 and beyond. The 01000011 Challenge : Rewrite or remake a scene from the episode from the POV of the Cylons or a Cylon.
