Theme recs list - Endings and Beginnings
Okay, here's my list of C6D recs that reflect the theme. Endings and beginnings are kind of hard to separate out, because often when one thing ends, another starts. But I tried.
And because there are lots of new people coming into C6D, I thought I'd include a wide range of stories, from a wide range of authors. A lot of stuff I culled from the Midsummer challenge comms (2005, 2006, 2007, and 2009) plus the crack_van recs for Hard Core Logo, Wilby Wonderful and Slings & Arrows. Also, isiscolo's wilbylinks and slingsandarrowlinks proved very helpful. The last place I want to mention is ds_snippets which is a C6D weekly writing challenge for fics under 300 words.
There's lots of great C6D fic out there, a lot of it forgotten about as fans move on. Let's try to not let that happen, 'k? Go check these stories and sites out, let the authors know you appreciate them.
Wilby Wonderful
Call This World Home (fusion with Last Night) by isiscolo - an ending, of course. A lovely, bittersweet view of some of the residents of Wilby on the last night of the world.
A Beautiful Fable by agentotter - a beginnings story focusing on Emily and her struggle to understand her mother, and in doing so, herself.
Quiet In Drowning by nos4a2no9 - a story balanced carefully on the knife's edge of beginnings and endings - Duck's painful journey away from Wilby and into a new life.
Slings & Arrows
More Fools Than Wise by simplystars - traces Geoffrey's journey as he circles around the ending of one life and the start of a different one.
You could help, it wouldn't be that hard by curtana - a beginnings story about Anna and Ellen and the possibilities of friendship.
Trespass sweetly urged by petronelle - Oliver, Ellen and Geoffrey caught in a twisting relationship as they all try to figure out what they want, what they need.

The Secret Life of Joe Dick (or, The Big Con) by sageness - a beginnings story, for Joe, and for Billy. Joe schemes for a better, different life.
Destination by spuffyduds - the ending story to kill all ending stories.
four men in three boats by llassah - and end for Joe, but a beginning of life for Billy, John and Pipe that circles around again.

a motherfucking love song (in four movements) (CKRxHD) by justbreathe80 - filming Hard Core Logo comes to an end, and neither of them is ready for it.
Auld Lang Syne by brynwulf (CKRxPG) - Callum runs into Paul in Toronto and it all feels brand new again. Beginnings and endings.
The Irish Keep Gate-Crashing (CKRxHD) by waltzforanight - Hugh's filming Durham County and needs Callum to ground him in reality. Beginnings and endings.

Somewhere Warm by bohemian__storm - In the negative spaces of his life, Chris Cutter can still see his mother. Lennox sees her, too. An ending, of sorts.
(Why Can't I) Stop Where I Want To Stay by atrata - Amy and her father spend summer after summer looking for the damn stones. Now they've found them all, where does that leave her? New beginnings, and endings, too.
Dearly Beloved by rhythmsextion - Amy learns a hard lesson at the bottom of a bottle and walks away, ending something that's always been there between her and Cutter.

Crossroads by kelliem (Masterminds x Buried On Sunday) - Ollie's on the run, looking for something to anchor him and finds something almost miraculous in Gus. Beginnings.
Wide Open Space by kelliem and aukestrel - (Getting Married In Buffalo Jump x Paris Or Somewhere) - Christy and Alex both looking to start over. Endings and beginnings.
