Yesterday we had a little get-together with a few friends of ours from New Zealand (they're Taiwanese) to celebrate Chinese New Year together. The plan was to go on a picnic with each of us bringing something to eat. Me & hubby brought drinks and pork buns (no, I didn't make them, I bought them... hehe ;P). The weather turned out shitty so we went to one of their apartment instead.
We actually never met them since we've moved to Sydney (they moved to Sydney before us). We've been so slack in keeping in touch... *bad bad us*. Anyway, there were 6 of us all together, it was good catching up and seeing them again :) There were so much food left over by the end of it. There were fishball kebabs, dumplings, pork buns, noodles, some dried fruit/nuts traditional chinese stuff, grapes and chinese year cake (the sticky red bean ones... this is suppose to be traditional and everyone have them on chinese new year - I don't really like this cake).
We took pictures (of course)... earlier today I was gonna upload it to my computer hard drive, there was something wrong and I couldn't upload it. Then instead of ejecting it correctly I just plug it off from the USB port :( I forgot to do it properly!!! So I think now all the pictures are GONE! bah.. stupid meeeeee :(( *still kicking myself*
Today after work I received a note in my post box to let me know that I have to pick up a parcel from the post office. So I did - my colour contact lenses have arrived!! Wow... I'm very pleased with the service (I bought these from the internet). It was my first ever purchase from the internet. It took 12 days to arrive here. I really doubt that the shop even bother to check/confirm my contact lens prescription with my optometrist. They asked me my optometrist details and everything, and it was written that they were going to check. But I think because the site was based in the US, they couldn't be bothered making an international call to check ;P~
They basically confirmed my order and ship it the next day *happy happy joy joy*
Because I can't post any chinese new year pics, I think I'll just put up this pic instead :)
This is my nephew dressed in some chinese costume a few months ago xD
