Ok, that's about enough of that. In case anyone was curious about the three remaining Garbled Song Lyrics (which are here), I'll tell the answers.
#3 was "Lovergirl" by Teena Marie (which may not have been written by Rick James, I just found out) and the REAL lyrics are "'Cause I got A VIBE on you..."
#7 was "Suffragette City" by David Bowie and the REAL lyrics are "Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am...BACK IN SUFFRAGETTE CITY..."
#8 was "No New Tale to Tell" by Love And Rockets and the REAL lyrics are exactly the same as the song title.
I'm not sure why, but I had a lot of fun doing that little game. If people want I can do more of these since I know of a website that has lots of garbled lyrics (but no fair peeking if you know what it is!) and I can use those since I've pretty much exhausted my own true-life garbled lyrics.
Not a lot has been going on...I'm going through my Performance Appraisal process at work, and I'm getting a rating of Above Expectations. It's not the highest rating there is, but it's good enough and it means I'll get a 3% raise starting in April. So, cool. I'm also in the middle of evaluating my one subordinate which I'm not real jazzed about because he didn't do so hot last year. Oh well.
I think tonight I'll watch The Magnificent Seven because it came the other day in the mail. Not as good as Seven Samurai, but still a damn good movie.
