It's hot.
Mormons found my house today. In all the years I've lived here, I've never once seen a Mormon come by. Yet today, they appear.
You've got to hand it to them, though. They were fully dressed up: dress shirt, khakis, tie. Fully dressed up, they were, and in this scorching heat they walked all up and down 57. I'd wager they went a grand total of about 15 or 16 miles. Walking. Man.

Also today, I've become certain that the key to loosening my Dad up is college football. We got to talking about the Dawgs and Dooley and Richt and Herschel Walker and he started reliving some of the moments at games he'd been to. He was at the Tennessee game where Herschel broke out and became a star. He was at the Florida game when Munson made the famous "Run Lindsay, Run" call. He's been to every stadium in SEC except for South Carolina and Kentucky. Jordan-Hare, Neyland, Bryant-Denny, Sanford, and that's just a few. Sounds good to me.

I'm looking forward to this season for sure, but it occurs to me that the first game of the season falls right smack-dab in the middle of Dragon-Con.
Dilemma.
On the one hand, I'd be missing the first game. I'd be missing all the release of pent-up football tailgating energy that's been percolating since January. On the other hand, I'd avoid the inevitable chaos that will ensue when the tailgaters fight back against the new "Family Friendly" zones for tailgating on campus. Plus, it's the creampuff game of the season. A game that only matters if you lose.
I'll still be able to watch the game, probably, but I won't be there.
Cruel, cruel scheduling.

This time Thursday, I'll be all wacked out on medication. Which means one of two things: either I'll be too lazy/incoherent to do anything at all, least of all internet stuff, or I'll be so relaxed and carefree that my lips become exceptionally loose and some hilarious and/or incriminating stuff will be read by only those who never needed to know any of it.

Man, Reno 911 is funny.

Also, I'm probably going to be in a play. Hell yes. Lauren's getting the wheels in motion that will let a group of us put on a play that we've (at least Lauren and I) liked for some time now: I Hate Hamlet. Should be nice to get back on stage and do some real theatre work.
AAACTING! BRILLIANT!
